Permeable Pavers

What are permeable or porous pavers?  Permeable pavers have a special joint design that allows for water to filter through a variety of rock gradations into a variety of treatment systems. Permeable pavers can allow water to naturally filter back into the groundwater, rather than running off into the waterways, or the water can be held in detention and retention systems as needed per SWMP requirements.  Permeable pavers can be used in a wide variety of applications ranging from parking lots to low speed roads and streets and can be used in residential applications where drainage is an issue.

Benefits to Denver permeable and porous pavers:

  • Drainage system for rainwater and snowmelt
  • Reduces storm-water runoff
  • Saves money on additional drainage and retention systems and can tie in to existing storm water management plans
  • ADA compliant
  • Reduces pollutants and chemicals in the runoff water
  • Environmentally friendly
  • Offers your project the eligibility to gain a number of LEED point credits
